Fun Holiday cocktails. The Christmas cosmo was delish, the White Russian was so so. The butter board was good, the bread was amazing that came with it. Service was a tad slow and I had to grab our waitress as she was on her phone. All in all I’d return and have cocktails again!
If you are looking for good cocktails in Denver look no further. This place has really amazing spirits which are house aged/distilled. The bartenders make a solid drink with amazing depth and complexity!
The red eye old fashioned hit me at different levels with each whiskey and the bitters flavors showing up one after the other ! Highly recommend this place!
Hip spot, with gin or whiskey flights, and lots of unique and traditional mixed drinks. Loved their gin & tonic, very flavorful and fresh while still keeping the spirit of the traditional drink. There are a lot of comfortable seating areas, and relaxing that let you set your own vibe. Jun 2023
The Brazilian mixologist gentleman is a genius. The Spanish garden mix is one of the best cocktails according to many friends who joined us here. Great service. A must stop for me at the Dairy Block.
Head down the "alley" between 18th and 19th to find this gem and an amazing alley (no really) with live music! Expect to pay a little more (for Denver not really), but really unique drinks. The fig gin old fashioned was floral and fun while the bacon washed OF was smooth, buttery, smokey, savory, and creamy!
Deviation Distilling is an ideal spot to unwind with craft cocktails. The girls and I got together here for drinks over the weekend & had a wonderful time.
We made our way through Dairy Block & arrived at Deviation Distilling. The space was warm and inviting with exposed brick, copper accents, and alluring bottle lighting; an elevated yet cozy atmosphere that made us want to stay awhile. Kelsey was our mixologist and created some stunning drinks for us.
The French 75 was made with Citrus Rosé Gin, Lemon Juice, White Grape, Toasted Oak, & Soda Water. What a gorgeous drink. The palate of the French 75 was full of citrus and white fruit flavor. It had an herbal fruit finish that ended in toasted oak.
The Cucumber Basil Smash was made with Mountain Herb Gin, Lemon, Cucumber, Sweet Basil, & Soda Water. The Cucumber Basil was really refreshing and easy to drink. The juice from the muddled cucumber made for crisp taste & fragrant aroma.
The Blood Orange Flip was made with Blood Orange Gin, Orange Blossom, Tiki Bitters, Whole Egg, & Grapefruit Soda. The Blood Orange Flip was a superstar in looks and taste. The whole egg added a sinfully delicious froth making for velvety sips. The tartness of the grapefruit soda livened up the citrus of the blood orange gin.
The Spanish Style Gin & Tonics were made with fresh herbs, bright citrus, and juniper berries. The gin & tonics stimulated all of our senses. They were vibrantly eye catching in their globe glasses. They were dressed up & fragrant from the natural botanicals used. The Fever Tree Tonic Water provided effervescent citrus bubbles with each sip.
For Small Plates we had the Charcuterie Board made with assorted meats, cheeses and accoutrements. The salty-sweet notes of the snacks were a good pair with the strongly flavored cocktails.
For Dessert we had the S'mores Board that included Graham Crackers, Marshmallows, Chocolate and a table sized fire pit. Yes please; we loved the S'mores Board. We toasted our marshmallows over the baby fire pit right at the table. The chocolates included Godiva dark chocolate, Reese’s peanut butter cups, & Lindt milk chocolate.
Quick stop while walking by the Dairy Block.
Deviation Distilling is located on the alley, next to the winery. Its cozy couches on the patio and a fireplace encourage you to stop and take a sip of their house made bourbon based cocktails. But not only! The place is known for gin based cocktails as well. I really like the interior of the place, the brick wall, plants and unique lighting caught up my attention. And here my excitement kinda ends. I had a chance to try two different cocktails, Lion’s tail and Penicillin. They were…okay. I honestly expected my impression to be better after first sips. In my opinion they were to watery but it might be a thing of house made liquor. Place definitely worth to try, but for me it’s one of this places where you try and move forward.
I was so excited to try the holiday cocktails here, but left so disappointed in my experience. Myself and two other friends arrived and it was pretty busy, but we were able to snag a table. We sat at our table for 40 minutes without once being acknowledged by the staff, and even witnessed them take orders for two tables that came in after us. We tried to order at the bar after 30 minutes of waiting and the bartender told us she would come and take our order at our table, but never came over. We finally just left because it was clear the staff didn’t want to take our order.
